Size: 160g glass parfait jar (enough for 3/4 servings)
Having met the producer we can vouch for the care with which the birds are reared (mostly outdoors, never caged) and their livers prepared. Simply cooked and delicately seasoned with nothing more than salt and pepper, pieces of whole duck liver are packed into le Parfait jars and preserved in a little of their own fat. This fine foie gras has a smooth, buttery texture and delicious flavour, both sweet and savoury.
Best chilled beforehand and eaten with warm toast and a glass of equally chilled Monbazillac wine or a good Gewurztraminer. Also works well served with chilled Extra Brut Champagne - we have a limited stock of de Venoge.
