Very well made pink Welsh fizz. The grapes are grown and harvested on the Penarth Estate near Welshpool in Montgomeryshire and vinified by Three Choirs over the border in Newent.  

 

The wine is made in the traditional method following a slow secondary fermentation in the bottle with 50% Pinot noir and 50% Pinot Meunier grapes. It is bursting with summer fruit with a nice yeasty edge. Great fun but also a serious wine - it was a Decanter Award Winner in 2009.
